Light fittings in our dedicated energy efficient lighting section are manufactured to comply with the ‘Building regulations part L1, Dwellings’ These regulations are now mandatory for new homes.
These energy efficient light fittings are manufactured with an integral ballast and come complete with energy saving lamps. We are able to supply further compact fluorescent lamps for all energy efficient lighting found on this web site.
Energy efficient lamps may at the moment be more expensive than conventional GLS light bulbs, but will last up to 8,000 hours and can cut your energy consumption on lighting by up tp 80%
In order to comply with ‘Building regulations part L1, Dwellings’ the light fiting must have a lamp holder which will only accept an energy efficient light bulb. There are at the moment many manufacturers producing different mechanisms of lamp holder.
